It’s porridge weather!! Woo hoo! Anyone else exciting?
Want to pimp your porridge this winter? Why not add some hormone boosting Maca powder (a root from Peru), for a caramel spin. Maca is known as Peruvian ginseng and is not only full of important vitamins and minerals, it is known to boost libido, improve symptoms of menopause, can improve mood and may even increase exercise performance!
Next add some peanut butter and dates and you have yourself the ultimate salted peanut caramel bowl.
I choose to make mine with a combination of water and milk, but you can easily replace the water component for your milk of choice for an extra creamy bowl. This recipe makes two serves, so if you’re just one, reserve the rest for tomorrow morning and simply add some more milk to loosen it before heating again.
