In my own life, the pervasive pressure that our culture seems to place upon mothers to ‘lose the baby weight’ has been something I’ve constantly had to resist. I’ve had to consciously speak to those voices in my head telling me that weight loss has got to be a priority, and I’ve had to catch myself when the natural tendency to compare myself to other postpartum woman comes up.
